November SoukSouk Beauty Box

I didn't post any beauty box reviews last month but I am so pleased with all this months boxes so I had to share them with you, so first up we have Novembers SoukSouk box.

I got the Inner Me Lustrous Locks vitamins in a Birchbox a couple of months ago and like the idea of supplements to improve my hair and skin especially as my low iron levels have made my hair thinner and more brittle so I'm looking forward to trying these as well.

I love this beautiful little soap and I was so happy to get the patchouli one to try as I absolutely adore the scent of patchouli and it's a really good sized sample.

Lastly was this adorable little box of samples from a brand called Freyaluna, this was such a nice addition to this months box and I think it's a great way to try out a new brand, I'm not sure whether the Moisturiser and Cleansing Cream may be a little bit too heavy for my skin but I'm really looking forward to trying the Facial Tonic and it's always nice to have a little tin of Balm to carry around in the winter and they all smell lovely and floral.

You can subscribe to SoukSouk's monthly beauty box here.

NOTD: Sparkler

OPI- I Saw U Saw We Saw Warsaw
Models Own- Sparkler

Once again I'm apologising for my sporadic posting, between spending the weekends with Pete and spending pretty much all week in work, oh how I love working in retail near Christmas  and now having picked up a nasty throat infection I've been severly lacking time, energy and motivation to do anything at home. But I did find time to paint my nails this week and as I've been feeling the cold I went for a frosty winter look, I painted on this very pretty dark blue OPI polish and tried to fade the beautiful Sparkler glitter down the nail which sort of worked but the glitter on the tips is perhaps a bit much.
Sparkler is such a pretty glitter I love how holographic it is, it's constantly glimmering and shining pretty blues and oranges it's really noticeable so I've had quite a lot of compliments from customers at work about my nails this week which has lifted my mood a little.

Lush Soot Ball

This is a little late as Halloween was last week but these are still available on the Lush website so I thought I'd post my little review anyway.
These adorable little soot creatures are inspired by creatures in the film Spirited Away, the smell is lovely and comforting with tonka and cocoa butter but it's not a very strong scent unfortunately.

Underneath the sooty black exterior is a bright gold shimmery centre which is supposed to create an indulgent liquid gold effect but as the black outer layer is so dark it's more of shimmery muddy result once the bomb has all fizzled away. As it has both cocoa butter and shea butter it is a very softening and like Lush's Butterball it does leave little pockets of butter floating around the surface along with the big wide eyes how ever it doesn't leave you feeling slimy the way Butterball does.
This bomb is adorable and smells lovely and comforting but it has one major downfall and that is that it leaves a hell of a mess to clean up which kind of undoes the effects of a relaxing soak if you have to scrub the tub afterwards, as you can see from my last picture it left a load of black glittery marks all over the bottom of the bath which took a good scrubbing to remove.
Overall it's a cute gimmicky bomb but the mess is just too much hassle to clean so I wouldn't buy it again.
