OOTD- Up In The Air

I wore:
Dress- Primark
Sandals- New Look
Necklace- ASOS

I took a little trip to the seaside with my mom a couple of weeks ago and managed to take a few outfit photos so today I'm sharing with you this super simple outfit I wore to go for dinner at our favourite little tapas restaurant in Llandudno. My mom actually bought this dress for herself but then decided it didn't do a lot for her so I ended up with it, it's a size 16 so it's a little bit big but I quite like how it fits and it's something I can chuck on if I'm in a rush. I also wore this necklace I bought from ASOS, I recently signed up to ASOS Premier and have consequently been going a bit nuts with the next day delivery perks. I decided to treat myself to some new jewellery for autumn and I adore this  globe necklace although I have quickly discovered that it's one of those annoying necklaces that finds a way to get tangled up no matter how carefully I store it.

Lush Oxford Street- Cherry Blossom Reusable Bar

Lush Oxford Street- Cherry Blossom Reusable Bar Review
Cherry Blossom- £5.95

Lush Oxford Street- Cherry Blossom Reusable Bar Review

Another of Lush's reusable bubble wands and today I'm talking about Cherry Blossom, which may be the most beautiful of all Lush's new products. I picked this up on my second trip to Lush Oxford street and to tell you the truth it was the pretty design that made me pop it in my basket, instead of the usual wand Lush have gone for an actual twig to house the little flower shaped bubble bars to give them the look of cherry blossoms hanging on a branch.
I have to say I was really excited to try this one but unfortunately it's one product that just isn't for me.
Obviously I was expecting this to have a floral scent but there's something about this particular floral scent that I find a bit overbearing and a bit sickly, it has Sicilian lemon oil, cedarwood oil, rosewood oil and almond oil. I think maybe it could have done without either the lemon or the almond oil because altogether with the floral tones it just feels like there's too much going on in my opinion, there's a strong sweet scent that just doesn't smell right with the rosewood.
I held one of the flowers under the tap as I ran my bath and was pleased to see that bubbles started appearing almost immediately and the water turned a deep pinky red but for me the scent was just too strong to make it a relaxing soak.
I think if you happen to like the scent then this should be an absolute winner for you, the scent is strong and lasts on your skin, one flower creates a load of bubbles and these last throughout your bath but as with pink flamingo you can only really get two baths out of this which doesn't make it great value for money.

My Little Gypset Box

When I opened this months My Little Box I must say I was a little confused as to what the hell Gypset means but luckily they included a little definition inside the outer packaging which cleared it up: Gypset - (adj) Someone with a passionate soul, an adventurous mind and a bohemian nature. Now I'm not overly convinced by the word Gypset but despite that I was once again thoroughly impressed by My Little Box and their ability to fill a box with a wonderfully curated assortment of goodies to suit nearly everyone.

First up was this gorgeous little boho bucket bag designed in collaboration with Antik Batik and I really love this I do kind of wish I'd gotten it a bit earlier in the year so I could have taken it with me on my trips to the seaside but it's a great little bag to fill with essentials if you're in a hurry or want to travel light.

Next up are these adorable hair bands which are super soft and are designed especially to be worn on your wrist which is a pretty great idea for someone like me who is constantly scrabbling around in my bag trying to find that one lonely hair band.

The Beauty Bits:

Korres Bergamot Pear Body Milk
I absolutely love the scent of Bergamot so I was delighted to see this in my box and I find these little tubes are so useful to pop in my handbag to take to work.

My Little Beauty Bronzer
As someone who is incredibly pale I'm always very wary of bronzer but I was pleased to see this is quite a natural shade and with a lot of blending I actually think this may be something I could wear to give me just a touch of that sun kissed look that I will never get naturally.

So Susan Colour Hybrid Velvety Lip/Cheek Mousse
I've tried a few So Susan products and found them to be kind of hit and miss so I wasn't too sure how I felt about this and now that my love affair with Benetint has dwindled to a casual acquaintance I really didn't want another lip and cheek stain. Fortunately this is nothing like I expected, the texture is much more of a liquid lipstick than a multi use stain, I really don't think I'd be brave enough to try this on my cheeks but as a lip colour I think it's wonderful. For my lips I think the colours gorgeous and I really like the texture so I'm sure I'll get plenty of use out of this.

You can sign up to My Little Box here for £14.95 per month.

Lush Oxford Street- Milky Bar

Lush Oxford Street- Milky Bar Review
Milky Bar- £2.95 per 100g

During my two trips to Lush's Oxford Street store I've picked up 4 of the new soaps and now I've had a chance to use them properly it's time to share my thoughts about them, starting today with Milky Bar.
Milky Bar is definitely more plain than most of Lush's weird and wonderful soaps and when you get a chunk cut off it is basically just a block of creamy white soap, however when you see it in store the whole bar is shaped like a giant milk bottle with a glittery silver lid which I absolutely loved.
Scent wise it's extremely subtle in store but once home I've found the scent to be just strong enough to linger on my skin but not strong enough to contend with any perfume or body lotions I might apply after my shower, which for me is ideal. This has a very similar scent to the Milky Bath bubble bar  (reviewed here) with both containing Brazilian orange oil and patchouli oil but the soap also has coconut oil which gives it more of a creamy scent that feels more appropriate to a soap. It's not the kind of scent I would normally go for, it's quite an old fashioned traditional soapy scent but I've actually grown quite fond of it.
I'm terms of using Milky Bar soap I was pleased to find that it lathers up really easily and because of its creamy texture and softening ingredients my skin is left feeling nourished and smooth. It isn't one I would rush out to buy again but if I was in London and I was going to Lush anyway I'd probably pick up a slice.

Lush- Pink Flamingo Reusable Bubble Bar

Another Lush review for you today and this is one of the products I was most excited about.
Pink flamingo is a sweet scented reusable bubble bar, Lush brought out quite a range of new bubble wands and reusable bars when they opened the Oxford street store and despite not being a fan of the bubble wands I knew I'd end up trying a few.
The scent of this is bound to appeal to fans of Lush's much beloved Snow Fairy as it's super sweet and a bit sugary but there are fruity tones which make it feel more like Snow Fairy's tropical cousin, Pink Flamingo has a mix of Rosewood Oil, Bergamot Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, and Macadamia Nut Oil which combined with the adorable flamingo design  make it a perfect  summery treat.
Normally you can get quite a few baths out of the reusable bars which is why they cost more than the usual bubble bars, this is where Pink Flamingo disappointed me. Lush were obviously trying to make this a little different and more interesting than their other bubble wands and so the orange bit in the centre of the wand is actually a bath bomb, this was a nice idea but in practice it doesn't work so well. As soon as you start waving this around in the water the orange part starts to fizz and this is the part that sticks the bar to the wand so one it's all fizzled out my bar broke in half and the stick came out which meant I only got two baths out of this bar which isn't great value for £5.95. But back to the positives it made the water a beautiful pink colour and made mountains of bubbles which lasted throughout my bath.
I did enjoy using this and I think I would buy it again as a treat or a gift for someone but I wish Lush had foregone the bath bomb part so I could get a few more uses out of this delightful little flamingo.
